THE GOD FACTOR

Deeper Life Bible Church really contributed immensely to my spiritual growth as a young believer. And there is a chorus we normally sing then that usually lift up my spirit. It goes thus:

Jesus knows the way through the wilderness

All I have to do is to follow

Jesus knows the way through the wilderness

Follow, follow I will follow Jesus

Anywhere, everywhere I will follow Him

Follow follow I will follow Jesus anywhere He leads me

I will follow Him.

And I have been following him ever since praise the Lord!!!

After the death and resurrection of Jesus, Peter and the other disciples decided to go back to their fishing business. They laboured all through the night and caught nothing until Jesus appeared on the scene and gave them a breakthrough idea! He told them to cast their net on the right side of the ship. They did and they caught a multitude of fishes.

Now Peter, James and John were Jesus’ core disciples and they were trained, seasoned and experienced fishermen. Jesus even called them to the ministry while they were busy doing their business. The night is a very good period for fishermen to catch fish. So they were on the sea through out the night. Could it be possible that they never cast their net to the right side of the ship as Jesus instructed or they did and nothing came our of it. How come they caught a lot of fishes only after Jesus instructed them to? That is called the God factor.  No matter how knowledgeable, powerful or informed you are, if God is not in your business or any activity of yours, all efforts will be in vain. The Bible says if the Lord does not build the house the labourers labor in vain. May your labour not be in vain in Jesus mighty name. 

Are you struggling on any project? Your job, family, finances, business, relationships etc? Have you tried all possible means and success still eludes you? Just like the disciples you need an instruction from Master Jesus. He alone knows the way through the wilderness you are passing through right now. He does not only know the way, HE IS THE WAY, THE   TRUTH AND THE LIFE. Only Him holds the answer to every challenge confronting you. Take time out today to seek him and listen to him. He is at the door of your heart and wants to help you. He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above that which you can ever ask or think. Are you ready to let Him in today? Only then will you experience the breakthrough you have long expected. It is well.
