Hello people!!! It's another testimony time.
Allow me introduce Mrs. Adebukola Okunloye. She is a Principal Programme Analyst registered member of Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria) CPN and Nigeria Computer Society (NCS). A daughter, sister, wife and mother of three wonderful boys.
This is her testimony:
My Permanent Secretary (Boss) an Alhaji, asked me to pray in our Management meeting one day. After praying, he asked the Management team, "should we be starting meeting in Jesus name or God's name?" Everybody kept quiet, everyone knows him. He will just get annoyed with whatever comment or contribution given at that point in time. He got so annoyed and said, he will make sure I'm redeployed, not promoted, rendered redundant, send out of service (job) etc. He said he is not afraid of me or my stupid religion. I could not believe I am going through all these just because I am a child of God. He made all these threats after the Commissioner and Special Adviser had left the meeting. This happened not once not twice. He is very influential, he has victimized many and nobody questions him. Not even the Directors. I uttered no words and apologized for no wrong.
So, I went on my knees in my closet and told God to arrest him as he arrested Saul on his way to Damascus. Few weeks later, to my utter shock and amazement, he started praying in Jesus name in the Management meeting and public ceremonies. Now he always wants to see me around. If he doesn't see me, he will ask for me. Normally I don't go on tours with the team. He has now directed that I should be included. In subsequent Management meetings, he always usher me to come and sit on Director's seat. I have come to enjoy all these favours and more from him.

SHE PUSHED ME AWAY, BUT LATER SAID 'SORRY SIR': I Went to an e-bank hall few months ago. As I was about entering the hall, a lady ran ahead of me & pushed me away, so she could quickly join the long queue before I will get to the queue. I did not say anything. She felt I will stay behind her, but I was actually not there to withdraw, I came to deposit. So I walked to the deposit machine and I was the only one there. No single person on the queue. When I finished depositing. I was about leaving the hall, when the lady came from the queue & apologized to me for pushing me away the other time. With sorry smile on her face, she said 'I am sorry sir for pushing you away, I thought you were coming to the queue', I just smiled and told her not to bother, that it's not a big deal. But since then, the lesson in this story kept coming to my mind, and I felt I should share it for us all to learn from it.
Friends, who are you 'pushing' away and trying to out run in the race of destiny, relationship, bussiness, ministry, career,etc? You are thinking you are going to the same 'queue' (destination) unknown to you that, though your path may look alike, your destinations are different!. How many people have had to say 'sorry' to those they pushed aside, pushed away, push down when they finally realized that that person was not actually going to the 'withdrawal machine' they were running to. Are you reading this and you are pushing people away here and there by slandering them, hindering their progress, blocking their promotion, spoiling their good names through lies and rumours all in a bid to 'get there' before them. I challenge you today, to take it easy. You might not be going to the same destination. It might surprise you later that, with all your pushing, they may still leave you on the 'queue' of destiny later and be successful before you. Finally, are you reading this and you feel people in your office, ministry, business, etc pushing you away so that they can get ahead of you?. Don't worry, God will use your case to prove to them that, 'it is not of him that runs, but of the Lord that shows mercy...' (Romans 9:16). He will show you mercy and give you an overtaking speed and those who are pushing you here and there will later come to tell you they are sorry. Please, don't push anybody. You might meet on the same path, but you might not be going to the same 'machine' (destination).
Wao!!! Our God is alive and still in the business of working wonders. Are you also going through stress at your place of work? Take a cue from this testimony and get on your knees like Bukky did. Prayer does turn things around. It is well. Shalom.
